John Lennon’s children induct Elvis Presley (video) into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Elvis Presley, earned and deserved, this award.

It is quite touching the manner in which Julian and Sean Lennon stand on the stage and recite part of John Lennon’s feelings, and aspirations, about Elvis.

  1. I’ve just read two of the most enjoyable books, CAN’T HELP FALLING IN LOVE and COME AWAY TO PARADISE. Imagine falling in love with the King of Rock and Roll way back when he was on the cusp of success!

Although these two lovable, funny, and fascinating books don’t specifically say they are about our favorite singer (everyone struggles to remember the singer’s odd-sounding name . . . it’s Alvin, Elrod, something like that, some say, lol) . . . you know it’s HIM.

The Amazon.com description says: What do a hit song, a hep singer, and a hot fried peanut butter and banana sandwich have in common? For stunningly attractive Allison Webster, struggling to make a name in the glitzy advertising world, they spell infatuation and desire. They are the first notes in the love song she hears when she can’t help falling in love with her King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. When the Memphis Mafia rudely invades her affair with the most eligible bachelor in the country, no one can tell which way the records will spin. Singer, songwriter, actor, and author Carol Dunitz and Pulitzer-nominated author David W. Menefee lay down the tracks in this unforgettable romance that’s topping the charts as the year’s most musical love story.
